Helping Children of Abuse, NFP is organized with the intended purpose of bringing into public awareness the span and scope of what constitutes abusive treatment of children; to provide education for recognition especially of insidious forms of child abuse that may go undetected; to provide education for recognition and cultivation and provide examples of appropriate treatment, attitudes and behaviors towards children; to provide education to establish and cultivate ways to assist children on how to develop and maintain a clear sense of self, healthy self-esteem and the ability to deconstruct any unhealthy correlation children may have formed between their treatment and personal self-image; and through the development and implementation of child-friendly public education programs, assist children in developing foundations of healthy self-image, true autonomy and real freedom from codependence thereby providing the means necessary to break the cycle, mitigate, cope, survive, and escape abusive situations intact to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. |
